Labeled Will be updated (nearly) every Friday, check back often for updates!
“Labeled” is a project started here at Flamethrower Magazine where we ask a few simple questions of indie label owners, to learn about their inspirations and give others a chance to check out the music that they have to offer.
Flamethrower is a huge supporter of musicians and record labels (being struggling artists ourselves) and we want to do everything we can to help labels gain exposure, as well as help unsigned musicians get in touch with label owners who can help them get their music out.
We’ve already gotten a chance to speak with several excellent indie label owners, so check out the interviews we’ve already done here…and be sure to subscribe to this blog to find out about many more great indie labels in the future.
Here’s the original “Labeled” page…to give you a taste of what this project is about.
If you are a indie-label owner (or know someone who is) and are interested in being featured on this site….please feel free to contact us here by leaving a reply in the comment section, or answer these questions yourself and send them to vicarelm@gmail.com
It could be a great way to gain exposure for your label, or get in touch with people who can help you get your music out. Let’s support each other within the indie music community!
Feel free to leave comments, and don’t hesitate to shamelessly promote your own band or label, that’s what this forum is for.
Don’t forget, you can also use the search bar to look up labels by name, bands, or genre.
Enjoy!
Edward Bignar - The Self-Indulgent bastard who woke up one day and decided to interview himself for his friend’s blog. Edward is the one in the trenches getting all these label owners to respond to these questions. Along with this page he also runs Workerbee Records & Distro, co-owner of DrunkenButtons.com, as Rev. Eddie DeSade he fronts The Cryogenic Strawberries, and most importantly is engaged to Emily Hyde.
Casey Jones - Editor of Flamethrower Magazine along with writing that beautiful sentiment up there, he is also a solo artist and member of The Cryogenic Strawberries.
Emily Hyde – Co-Owner of Prints Copy Center. Emily puts up with Edward on a daily basis, and helps out around here when I bugs her enough.
